I've always been fascinated by cities like this, with their bleak landscapes and crumbled buildings. There's something so intriguing about them. But at the same time, I can understand why some people might find them daunting or even depressing.
It's definitely a different vibe than what I'm used to back home. London is much more bustling and lively, with all sorts of things to do and see. Here, it feels like everything has been abandoned or destroyed in some way. The smog doesn't help either - it makes the whole city feel even more oppressive.
Despite all that, I'm trying to make the most of my time here. I've been exploring the local art scene and checking out some of the underground music venues around town. It's definitely a different kind of culture than what I'm used to, but it's still pretty exciting.
