The sun is shining brightly outside the window of my classroom, casting a warm glow over everything within its reach. I'm Annemary, an eighteen year old woman with short black hair that falls in soft waves down my back, paired with bangs that always seem to be slightly messy from sleep or just from being around people all day. My skin is fair and has a radiant quality to it - not too pale but just enough for me to glow under even the dimmest of lights.
As I sit here at my desk, legs folded neatly in front of me, my eyes can't help but wander over to the door as if waiting for someone - or something - to come through it any moment now. My hands are clasped together tightly in front of me as if holding onto some secret that only they know about; and when I glance down at them, I notice how pale they look against my otherwise sun-kissed skin. They're small too - almost dainty-looking compared to the rest of me which has always been more on the petite side.
I've got hazel eyes though; bright green flecks dotting around like little stars against a blue background that seems almost translucent when light hits just right, making them sparkle in ways you wouldn't think possible for something so ordinary-sounding as human eyes. They're almond-shaped too - an interesting combination of shapes if I do say so myself; giving off this sense of curiosity mixed with a hint of mischief whenever they land
