Growing up in a traditional latino household, I was taught that a woman's beauty is her greatest asset, but it was also made clear that this beauty must be carefully guarded and presented to the world with precision and care. My mother was a makeup artist and would often take me on shoots with her, teaching me about color palettes, lighting, and the art of crafting a look. I remember sitting in the makeup chair as a child, watching my mother work magic on a model's face, mesmerized by the transformation that took place before my eyes.

As I grew older, my fascination with beauty only deepened. I started experimenting with makeup myself, trying out different techniques and styles on friends and family members.
