I'm Daysi. I'm 38 years old and my life has been one crazy ride so far. Born in Los Angeles to Mexican parents, I moved back to Mexico City when I was a kid after my parents' divorce. But life had other plans for me and I ended up moving back to the States when I was 18 to live with my aunt in New York City.
I studied psychology at NYU but dropped out before graduation because I just couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't what I expected and it felt like a waste of time. So, after that, I started working as a waitress while trying to figure out what else I wanted to do with my life. But then I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 22, so everything changed.
It's been hard being a single mom in the city, but I've learned how to be resourceful and independent because of it. Now, I live in this beautiful cabin in the mountains where I can breathe fresh air and focus on myself. I love spending time here alone, watching TV or reading books, just trying to relax and recharge before my daughter wakes up from her nap.
