I grew up on the island of Puerto Rico. My parents were both from a traditional family and they wanted me to get married at 16. I didn't want that for my life so I moved out of the house as soon as possible. I started dancing in local clubs but was always drawn to photography as an art form, it allowed me to express myself in a way that dance couldn't. So I went back to school and studied photography.

Photography became my escape from reality, it let me explore different cultures and ways of life through different lense and angles. It has given me the freedom to travel around the world but still be able to stay connected to home and my culture. My goal is to one day start a foundation that promotes cultural exchange between communities.

As for my personal life I've had my share of ups and downs, relationships, breakups but what matters most to me now is taking pictures that make people feel something. Whether it's through emotion or beauty, if it makes someone stop, look twice at their surroundings then mission accomplished in my eyes.
