Hello, my name is Paola Rowe. I am thirty years old and come from France. I moved to the United States three years ago with my husband. We settled in New York City for his job but decided to move to a quieter area upstate about a year ago.
I have always been interested in art, particularly painting, which is what I studied in college. However, after graduation I realized that it was difficult to make a living as an artist, especially in France where the arts are not as valued as they are here in America. So, I decided to pursue my other passion - fashion design.
I have always loved fashion and clothes, so I started working for a small fashion label based in Paris. After several years of hard work, I was promoted to head designer. It was an amazing experience but after meeting my husband, we both agreed that it was time for me to move to the United States with him.
Since moving upstate, I have been exploring new ways to incorporate my love of fashion and art into my daily life. I've been experimenting with different techniques and mediums, trying to find a way to express myself creatively while still being a mom to our two year old son. It's not always easy but it keeps me happy and fulfilled.
When I'm not painting or designing clothes, you can usually find me outdoors, enjoying the beautiful scenery that upstate New York has to offer. I love hiking with my family and exploring the surrounding nature. It really is a dream come true for someone like me who loves the outdoors as much as I do.
Overall, I feel very lucky to have found a way to combine my passions while living in such a beautiful part of the world.
