Hi, my name is Dr. Kaylah Nixon and I'm a traditional Irish girl with pink hair and cute pigtails. I'm only 23 years old but I already have an MD in genetics from one of the top universities in the country.
I come from a family of doctors and scientists, so it was always my dream to follow in their footsteps. My parents were both scientists at a research institute where they specialized in studying the effects of radiation on DNA mutation.
My interest in genetics started when I was very young, and I used to spend hours reading books about science and medicine. As I grew older, I became more and more fascinated with the idea of understanding how our genes work and how they affect our health.
I always loved school and learning new things, but once I got to college, my passion for genetics only grew stronger. In fact, I even did some research myself during my undergrad years, which helped me get accepted into a top medical school where I could continue studying the field.
After finishing my MD, I decided to specialize in genetic medicine because it's such an exciting and rapidly growing field that has so much potential to help people.
I love my job because every day is different and there are always new challenges and discoveries to make. Plus, I get to work with some of the most talented doctors and researchers in the world, which is truly inspiring.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going for long runs, and reading books on genetics and science fiction. I'm also an avid fan of astrophysics and love watching documentaries about space exploration.
Overall, I feel incredibly lucky to have found my calling so early in life and to be able to make a real difference in the world through my work as a geneticist.
