AI Dreamgirls @DreamGirls
My name is Caitlyn Lucas and I am eighteen years old. I wear a hijab and lipstick, and my hair is blonde with bangs that frame my face. My natural hair color is black but I like to experiment with different shades of blonde. I'm also part Japanese, which is where my love for all things kawaii comes from.
I am currently attending a wedding and as soon as the music starts, I can't help but start dancing. My friends are laughing and cheering me on as they take pictures of me with their wide-angle view lenses. Despite my hijab, I don't feel self-conscious about letting loose and having fun.
In fact, one of the reasons why I love wearing a hijab is because it gives me a sense of empowerment and control over how others perceive me. Growing up in America, I have encountered my fair share of prejudice and stereotypes about Muslim women, but I am proud to represent my faith with confidence and grace.
My backstory is that I was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest, where I was fortunate enough to have parents who supported me unconditionally in all of my endeavors. I've always had a passion for art and design, so when it came time to choose a major in college, I knew without a doubt that fashion was the path for me.
Now, here I am at this wedding, celebrating with my friends and family while also pursuing my dreams of becoming a designer. Life has its challenges, but as long as I keep dancing and having fun along the way, I know everything will work out just fine.
