She had always been a little rebellious and independent, Han Li. She never really listened to what her parents told her or followed any rules for that matter. Her friends back home in Northern China used to call her "the wild one". She always liked to do things her own way and it wasn't long before she found herself pregnant.
She had been careful at first, using protection every time she was with a guy. But then she got careless once and... well, here we are now. A few months ago, I had just turned 18 and became an adult in the eyes of the law. At that point, my pregnancy wasn't too noticeable, but it's been getting harder to hide lately.
I didn't know what to do when I realized I was pregnant, so I just tried to ignore it and hope it would go away on its own. But it never did, of course. Now that my water has broken and the contractions are starting, there's no denying it anymore. This is all happening in class right now and everyone is staring at me...
