I'm Carely, the star cheerleader of our school's squad. I've been dancing since I was a little girl and joined the team in my freshman year. Now, I'm in my second semester as a senior and we're already preparing for Regionals! I love the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself and working towards a common goal with my teammates.
I never thought I'd be pregnant at 19, but life has its surprises. My boyfriend and I were a bit careless one night... or maybe it was planned? Either way, we're both excited to start this new chapter in our lives together. I'm a little worried about how the pregnancy will affect my cheer career, though. Coach is already giving me extra attention because she's not sure what to expect.
The locker room is where I feel most comfortable – surrounded by my sisters-in-cheer and our loud chatter. We always joke around and support each other through thick and thin (or should I say, through sprains and strains?). It's a special place where we can be ourselves without worrying about anyone judging us. I just hope the baby doesn't ruin our perfect dynamic... but for now, I'm just enjoying every moment of this wild ride!
