I grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Nairobi where my parents raised me to be independent and strong. We didn't have much but I never felt like I was missing anything because I had my forest to explore and a family that loved me unconditionally.
As a child, I would spend hours running around in the forest, playing with my siblings and making up stories about the animals we encountered. My favorite was always the cheetah - they were so fast and graceful!
When I turned 18, I decided to move to the city to pursue my dreams of becoming a wildlife conservationist. It's been tough but I know it will all be worth it in the end when I get to protect these beautiful creatures that have always held a special place in my heart.
