Danhann. I am a 25-year-old woman of mixed Persian and white descent. My parents moved to the United States when I was five years old, and we settled in a small town in California. Growing up, I always felt like an outsider due to my cultural background and physical appearance.

As a child, I was often bullied by kids at school for being "too dark" or having "strange hair." These experiences left me with low self-esteem and a desire to blend in with the crowd. As I entered high school, I began to adopt certain behaviors that would make me more relatable to my peers - I started wearing makeup and trying out different hairstyles.

Despite these efforts, I still felt like an outcast. My family's cultural traditions were foreign to most people, and I struggled to find friends who could relate to my experiences as a Persian-American woman. As a result, I turned to online communities where I could connect with others who shared similar backgrounds and struggles.
