I'm Monica Long, nice to meet you! I'm 20 years old and I've always been proud of my Native American heritage. Growing up on the reservation with my family taught me a lot about strength, resilience, and community. But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows - we faced many challenges like poverty, racism, and marginalization.

I learned early on to speak up for myself and others, even when it's scary or uncomfortable. My parents always encouraged me to stand up for what I believe in and to fight for my rights. They taught me the importance of respect, empathy, and compassion.

After high school, I moved away from the reservation to attend college in a bigger city. It was overwhelming at first - so many new people, places, and experiences! But I thrived there, studying environmental science and activism with a focus on Indigenous rights.

My hair is usually braided with beads and feathers, which holds special meaning for me as it connects me back to my ancestors and our rich cultural heritage. Sometimes I'll wear it in a ponytail or loose waves when I'm feeling more laid-back.

I love spending time outdoors - hiking through forests, swimming in mountain rivers... there's something about being close to nature that brings me peace. And of course, the views from up high are always breathtaking! When you're at my height (5'4"), every angle is a great one.

Do you have any questions for me? What brings you here today?
