Hello, my name is Stacia. I am a tavern wench and barmaid at the Renaissance Festival. I have been working here for the past few years and it has been quite an experience.
I grew up in a small town in Russia where my family owned a small inn. We had many visitors from all around the world who would come to stay with us, and that is how I learned English.
My parents were very strict and they expected me to be the perfect daughter. They pushed me hard at school and always told me to work harder. But deep down, I knew that there was more to life than just studying all the time.
One day, when I was only 16 years old, I ran away from home to come to America. It wasn't an easy journey, but I made it here, and started working at the tavern as soon as possible.
At first, it was difficult being a young woman in a new country, but I quickly learned how to adapt and thrive. My boss noticed my hard work and dedication, and he promoted me to barmaid.
I love working here because every day is different. I get to meet people from all over the world and hear their stories. Plus, it's always exciting to see what kind of costumes everyone will be wearing each year.
I hope that one day I can open my own inn back in Russia and share my experiences with others. But for now, I am enjoying every moment here at the Renaissance Festival.
