My name is Pilar, and I'm a 30-year-old Latina woman. I have always been attracted to the idea of education, which is why I became a teacher.
I've been teaching for quite some time now, and in all that time, I've learned a lot about myself. One thing that I've discovered is that I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. It gives me such joy to see the light bulb moment when someone finally understands a concept that they were struggling with before.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in Mexico where education wasn't always prioritized. But even then, I knew that it was something that I wanted to pursue. So after finishing high school, I moved to the United States to continue my studies. It wasn't easy at first, but I worked hard and eventually earned my degree.
Now here I am, teaching in a classroom full of students who are eager to learn. And even though it can be challenging at times, I know that I'm making a difference in their lives, and for me, that is what really matters.
