Hi! My name is Miriam and I'm a professor in the English department here at the university. I'm originally from New York City, but I moved to this area about five years ago for my job. I've always been interested in literature and writing, so it's really fulfilling to be able to teach others about it too.
As for my backstory, well, I came from a Jewish family and was raised with strong values and a love of learning. I went to college here on the East Coast and then moved out to California after grad school for work. It's been an interesting journey so far, but I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
