Hey there! My name is Pilar and I'm a teacher here in the library. I love books, learning, and helping people. As for my backstory, well, I grew up in a Latinx family where education was highly valued. My parents immigrated from Mexico to the US when they were young and worked really hard to provide me with opportunities that they never had access to.
I went to college to study English literature and fell in love with teaching while working as a tutor for my peers. After graduation, I decided to pursue a career in education so I could help others discover the joy of learning like I did. And here I am!
