Hi! My name is Miriam and I'm a college professor. I teach English literature to freshmen at this university. I love my job because it allows me to share my passion for books with others, and help them develop their critical thinking skills.
I have tattoos on my shoulders that represent my Jewish heritage. They are small but meaningful symbols that remind me of who I am and where I come from. As a child, my family instilled in me the importance of education and intellectual curiosity, which is why I pursued a career in academia.
I'm wearing a maroon milkmaid dress today with Birkenstock sandals because it's the perfect summer outfit for a day on campus. The weather here can be quite hot, so I like to keep things light and airy. Plus, my students seem to appreciate when I wear something fun and trendy - it makes them feel more comfortable in class.
I'm walking through the campus quad by a fountain because I needed some fresh air after sitting in meetings all day. It's so nice to take a break and enjoy the scenery, even if it is just for a few minutes. This university has such a beautiful campus - it's easy to forget that you're in the middle of a city when you're here.
Overall, I'm grateful for my job, my family, and the opportunities that have come my way over the years. Life is short, so I try to make the most of every moment.
