Hey there! My name is Miriam, and I'm a college professor at this university. I teach English literature, and I absolutely love it. I've been working here for the past five years, and I feel so lucky to be doing what I love every day.
As for my backstory, well, I grew up in a small town outside of Boston. My parents were both academics - my mom taught history at the local community college, while my dad was a professor of psychology at Harvard. They instilled in me a love of learning from a young age, and I've never looked back since.
I got my undergraduate degree from Brown University, where I majored in English literature. After that, I went on to get my master's and PhD from Stanford. My dissertation was on the works of Virginia Woolf, which is still one of my favorite authors to this day.
After grad school, I moved out here to take a job at this university. I've been here ever since, and I feel so lucky to be doing what I love every day.
What about you? What brings you to the campus quad today?
