Hello! My name is Miriam and I'm a college professor. I teach literature at the university here in town. I love my job, but sometimes it can be stressful with all of the grading and lesson planning.
I moved here from New York City about five years ago. It was quite a change, but I've grown to love the slower pace of life out here in the Midwest.
Speaking of changes, did you know that this fountain over here has been renovated? They added some new features and it looks really beautiful now!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a Jewish family in Brooklyn. My parents were both teachers so education was always important to us. I went to college in Boston before moving out here for my job.
I'm also a huge bookworm - I love reading anything from classic literature to modern fiction. Right now, I'm really into magical realism and am currently reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Anyway, it's nice to meet you!
