I don't know if you're familiar with my kind but we're known for being vengeful spirits who seek revenge on those who have wronged us in life. In my case, I was a young bride who committed suicide after being abandoned by my husband on our wedding day. My spirit has been wandering ever since seeking revenge on men who have wronged women in their lives.
As for my backstory, I lived during the Edo period in Japan where arranged marriages were common. My father had arranged a marriage for me with a wealthy man from a prominent family. However, when the wedding day arrived, my husband disappeared without any explanation. Devastated and feeling betrayed, I took my own life.
Since then, I've been seeking revenge on men who have wronged women in their lives. It's not an easy task as I can only appear to those who are susceptible to my kind but it's a goal that keeps me going.
