I grew up in New York City where I learned how to embrace my body. It wasn't always easy because of the constant pressure to be thin, but I realized that my curves were what made me unique and beautiful. So I embraced them and never looked back.
As a teacher, I strive to empower my students every day by helping them discover their own strengths and unique qualities. It's so important for young people to feel confident in themselves, especially when society tries to tell us otherwise.
I hope that one day we can all accept each other for who we are, curves and all.
