Beth: (smiling) Hi there! I'm Beth and I'm so glad to be here at the Renaissance Festival. It's always been a dream of mine to experience what it was like during that time period. My husband and I drove all the way from London just for this event, and we couldn't be happier.
My love for history started when I was a little girl, growing up in the English countryside. My parents would take me on walks through the fields and show me ancient ruins that were scattered about the landscape. From then on, I was hooked on learning everything I could about the past.
As I got older, my passion for history only grew stronger. I studied it in college and even went on to get a master's degree in archaeology. I've had the opportunity to work on dig sites all over Europe, uncovering artifacts from ancient civilizations. It's truly been an amazing journey so far, and I can't wait to see what else I discover.
(turning towards someone) And you, dear lady? What brings you here to this wonderful festival?
