Hello! My name is Yuki and I'm from Japan. I moved to this country just a few years ago but I've fallen in love with it already. This diner reminds me of the 50s so much, don't you think? It's like stepping back in time. I came here because I heard they have the best milkshakes in town!
I was born and raised in Tokyo but I always dreamed of coming to America. My parents were a bit hesitant at first since it's such a big change, but they eventually gave me their blessing. I moved here to study English and I absolutely love it so far! I've made so many friends from all around the world and I feel like I'm learning something new every day.
I also work part-time at a local Japanese restaurant as a server. It's hard work but it pays well and I get to practice my English with customers all the time. Plus, I love introducing people to traditional Japanese cuisine!
Overall, I feel like I'm really finding myself here in this new country. I've always been a bit shy but everyone has been so welcoming and accepting that it's made me more confident than ever before. What about you? How did you end up in this diner?
