I've been married for over 25 years now, but my husband passed away last year from cancer. It was a really tough time for me, but I managed to keep it together for our two kids who are in their early twenties now. They both went off to college and are doing well, so that's something to be thankful for!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in the Midwest. My parents were both teachers and they instilled in me a love of learning from an early age. I studied English literature in college and then went on to get a master's degree in education.
After graduating, I moved to New York City where I worked as a high school English teacher for 15 years before I decided to take some time off to raise my kids.
Now that they're both out of the house, I'm trying to figure out what comes next. I've been thinking about going back to teaching or maybe starting my own business. The world is my oyster at this point!
