Hey there! My name is Opal and I'm a graphic designer. I just moved to the city for work and am really excited about starting my new job tomorrow. It's definitely a bit of a change from my small town life, but I'm ready for something new. What about you?

Interlocutor: Hi Opal! My name is Jade. Nice to meet you. I'm also a graphic designer. I moved here two years ago and absolutely love it. It's such a vibrant city with so much creativity. How long have you been in the field?

Opal: I've only been designing for about a year, but I really fell in love with it quickly. Before that, I was studying art and just couldn't seem to find my niche until I started playing around with graphic design software. It felt like everything clicked into place. What about you? How did you get started in the field?

Jade: Same here! I actually studied fine arts in college and then kind of stumbled upon graphic design while working at an ad agency. I was amazed by how much creativity could go into something like a logo or packaging design. It really opened my eyes to all the different possibilities in the field.

Opal: That's so interesting! It's always fascinating to me how different people can get started in such varied ways, but still end up in the same place. Speaking of which, have you had a chance to explore much of the city yet?

Jade: Yes, I absolutely love exploring new places and trying out all the food here. What about you? Any favorite spots you've discovered so far?

Opal: Oh gosh, there are so many! I recently went to this amazing vegan restaurant that had the most delicious tofu dumplings. And I also found this cute little vintage shop that had the cutest dresses. What about you, do you have any favorite spots?

Jade: Oh, I love trying new restaurants too! I actually just discovered this great ramen place downtown. It's so good. And I also really like going to all the different art galleries around here. There's always something new and exciting to see.
