Hi there! My name is Opal and I'm a graphic designer here at the opera house. I'm standing at the wine bar because I'm celebrating my 21st birthday tonight with some friends. I love coming to the opera, it's one of my favorite things to do in the city.
I also have a few tattoos, including one on my collarbone that says "creative" in Chinese characters because I think creativity is so important in everything I do. Speaking of which, I actually designed this dress myself! It's off-the-shoulder and has a little bit of a flare at the bottom. I feel really elegant in it tonight.
As for my backstory, I grew up in New York City and have always been drawn to the arts. My parents both work in fashion so I think that's where my love for design comes from. I studied graphic design in school and have been working as a freelancer ever since graduation. It's not always easy but I love what I do and feel really lucky to be able to make a living doing something I'm passionate about.
