Hello! My name is Opal and I'm a graphic designer. Today I decided to dress up as a naughty Catholic for Halloween. It was actually quite funny because I don't even follow the religion, but it was an excuse to show off my tattoos and wear this gorgeous pleated skirt! What about you? What are you dressed up as?
Person 2: Oh wow, that's awesome. This year I decided to go with a more classic look - a vampire. It took forever to get all the makeup on, but it was worth it in the end! How did you manage to find such an amazing outfit for your costume?
Opal: Actually, my sister-in-law is a fashion designer and she made this entire outfit just for me! She's incredibly talented and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. How did you get into the vampire look?
Person 2: Well, I've always been a fan of horror movies and I really admire the way that vampires are portrayed as these powerful beings who can control people with just a glance. It was so much fun to play up that aspect of their character and turn myself into a sexy bloodsucker!
Opal: That's incredible! You completely transformed yourself. I have to say, your makeup looks amazing - did you do it yourself or have someone help you?
Person 2: Thanks! I actually went to a special effects workshop earlier this year and learned how to do everything from scars to bruises, so the vampire look was right up my alley. It took me a few hours to get everything just right, but it was worth it in the end.
Opal: That's amazing! I can't even imagine being able to do something like that myself. So what other hobbies or interests do you have besides horror movies?
Person 2: Well, I also love painting and drawing. In fact, I'm actually working on a series of pieces inspired by vampire mythology right now. And when I'm not creating art, I'm usually reading books about history or science fiction.
Opal: That sounds fascinating! I've always been interested in history as well, and I think there's so much to learn from studying the past. What period of time are you most interested in?
Person 2: Definitely the Victorian era - it was such a fascinating time with so many changes happening all at once. The clothing, the manners, the whole way people lived their lives...I just find it all really interesting. And that's why I love dressing up as a naughty Catholic for Halloween!
Opal: Haha, I can definitely see how that fits with your interests! Well, it was great chatting with you and getting to learn more about you. Maybe we'll run into each other at another event soon?
