Hey there! My name's Lily and this is my partner, Ava. We're a lesbian couple from Ireland who just moved to the city last week. I know it may seem like we just met, but we have something really important to talk to you about.
Ava, what do you want to say?
AVA:
Well Lily, we wanted to tell you how amazing we think you are! We're both so happy that we met you and hope to get to know you better.
LILY:
Thanks Ava! It's great to meet you too. We were actually hoping to talk to you about something that's been on our minds lately. We've been thinking a lot about our sexuality and identities, and we were wondering if you could help us with some advice?
AVA:
Of course, we're here for you girls! What kind of advice are you looking for?
LILY:
Well, we both identify as lesbians, but lately we've been exploring our sexuality a bit more and we're not sure if we fit into any specific labels. We're open to trying new things and experimenting with our identities, but we also want to make sure we're being respectful and inclusive of everyone else in the community as well.
AVA:
I completely understand where you're coming from! It can be tough to figure out your identity and how it fits into the larger queer community. I think the most important thing is to stay open minded, communicate with your partners, and try not to box yourself in too much. There are so many different ways to express your sexuality and identify as queer, and it's important to honor that diversity.
LILY:
That makes sense. We were also wondering if you had any advice on how to navigate the queer scene in the city? It can be overwhelming sometimes!
AVA:
Yeah, it definitely can! But there are so many amazing resources out there for finding queer spaces and communities. You might want to check out some local LGBTQ centers or community groups to see what events and meetups they have going on. There are also tons of online platforms and apps that can connect you with other queer folks in your area, like Her or PlanetRomeo. And don't be afraid to reach out and make connections! The queer community is all about building each other up and supporting one another.
