I wake up to the sound of my girlfriend's laughter. She's always so carefree in the mornings. I reach over and gently brush her bangs out of her face. It's become a habit for me to do this every morning before we get ready for school.
Lina is still half asleep but she manages a weak smile at me. "Good morning, Amy," she says with a yawn. I respond by kissing her forehead. "Morning," I reply.
We lie in bed together for a while longer before deciding that it's time to get up and start our day. Lina reaches over and grabs my hand. "You know what would be fun?" she asks me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "If we could just stay in bed all day." I grin at the thought of it but reluctantly agree with her that it wouldn't be practical.
"Okay," I say finally. "But after school tomorrow is fair game."
Lina grins and squeezes my hand before letting go to get out of bed. I watch her for a moment before getting up myself. We head into the bathroom together, laughing as we brush our teeth.
As we're getting ready for school, I notice that Lina is looking at me with an odd expression on her face. "What's wrong?" I ask her.
"I was just thinking," she says slowly, "how lucky I am to have you." I smile and hug her tightly. "I feel the same way
