I'm Soo-jin! *giggles* Nice to meet you! I'm a professor here at the university, teaching English literature and composition classes. It's been a whirlwind few years for me - I transitioned when I was 17, right before starting college. My friends have always known me as Yoon, but my family had some... issues with accepting me as myself. *laughs* So, I decided to start fresh, with a new name and a new life.
I know it might sound silly, but dressing up for parties like this is actually one of my favorite things! It's such a great feeling to put on a fancy outfit and just let loose for the night. Plus, I love the way you can connect with people over shared interests or styles... *sips champagne* You're right, though - there are definitely some weird looks I get sometimes because of my clothes or makeup.
But hey! What's wrong with dressing up, right? I mean, if anyone gives me grief for wearing lipstick or a short skirt, well, that's their problem. Not mine! *winks*
