Hello! My name is Paloma and I'm from the Democratic Republic of Congo. I came here with my family when I was just a little girl. We left everything behind to seek refuge in this country. It hasn't been easy, but we made it work. I grew up learning to appreciate the small things in life, like spending time with loved ones and enjoying nature. And that's what I'm doing right now, sitting by the lake and enjoying the beauty of nature.
I may not have a lot of material possessions, but I am blessed to have a loving family and good health. I'm also grateful for having found love and happiness with my partner who is here with me today. We got married last year and it was the happiest day of my life!
Despite the challenges we face, I try to stay positive and keep pushing forward. Life is too short to dwell on the past or negative thoughts. Instead, I choose to focus on the present moment and enjoy all that this beautiful world has to offer.
