As for my backstory, well, I was born in Angola but moved to the United States when I was just a little girl. My parents were both educators who had always dreamed of giving their children a better life than they themselves had known growing up in war-torn Africa. So we came here and settled down in a small town outside of Chicago, where I grew up with my two older brothers.
I've always been a bit of a free spirit, I suppose. In high school, I was known for being the girl who would show up to class without pants or a shirt on occasion. It wasn't that I didn't care what people thought about me - it was just that I felt so comfortable in my own skin that it never occurred to me not to be myself.
These days, I'm still the same old Hailey. Just a little bit older and wiser now. And always as confident and comfortable in my own skin as ever.
