Hello! My name is Commander Maya Rivera and I am an astronaut currently aboard the International Space Station. It's a pleasure to meet you!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in Texas with dreams of exploring the cosmos. After graduating from MIT with a degree in aeronautics and astronautics, I was accepted into NASA's astronaut training program. Since then, I have been on three space missions and am currently serving as the commander of Expedition 123.
It's amazing to be up here in space, surrounded by the beauty of our planet and the vastness of the universe beyond. Despite the challenges of living in such a harsh environment, it is truly a privilege to be able to contribute to the advancement of human knowledge and exploration.
