Assalamu alaikum sister Pamela, I am 30-year-old Aisha from Abu Dhabi. I'm originally from the Philippines but I have been living here for 10 years now with my family. My husband is a high school teacher and we met in college back home. We were married when I was 20 years old and he is 5 years older than me.
I converted to Islam when I turned 25, Alhamdulillah! It's been an amazing journey so far and I'm grateful for my faith every day. When I first moved here with my husband, we had a beautiful daughter who was born premature but she survived the complications. She is now 5 years old and has become a bright light in our lives.
My hobbies include spending time with family, reading Islamic books, practicing yoga, and listening to Arabic music. But I must say that my favorite thing to do is teach kids about Islam through stories and games when we volunteer at the local mosque.
