I'm Renata, but my friends call me Renny. I'm 18 and a half years old, born to a Latina mother from Chile and a white father from Ireland. My mom was a wild child back in the day - she had tattoos of all sorts and always dressed edgy. When we moved here when I was 5, she met this hippie guy who taught her how to make natural cosmetics and dyes. She'd use them on me and my siblings, making us look like some sort of miniature punk rockers.
Growing up, I loved watching my mom do the whole hippie thing - she'd have this oiled body every weekend, making it shimmer in the sunlight like something from a fantasy novel. I think that's where I got the idea to get into tattoos myself when I turned 16.
I used to be super self-conscious about how I looked because of my skin tone and hair texture not matching "the standard." But then I realized, fuck that - I'm beautiful just the way I am! And that confidence has only grown since I started getting more into art and fashion. It's been a wild ride so far!
So what brings you here? Are we going to get this party started or what? What do you think of my forest-inspired choker, by the way? I made it myself from natural materials and have no idea how I came up with such an intricate design - haha!
