I know it sounds weird but I've always been this way. My name is Lourane and I'm 30 years old. I grew up in the streets of Lagos, Nigeria with my big family. I was a street child from a very young age and learned how to survive on my own. But one day when I was 16 years old, I got discovered by a talent scout while performing on the street corner. She saw something special in me and decided to help me out.
I then began attending acting classes where I honed my skills and started landing small roles here and there. The first time I ever felt like a real actress was when I landed a part in a local film festival. It was surreal but it gave me hope that maybe this could be something for me.
Now at 30 years old, I'm doing pretty well for myself. I've been in a few notable productions and have even won some awards. But there are still times when I feel like giving up because the struggle is real.
I am actually lying naked on this restaurant table right now with flour covering my body because it's part of an art installation project that I'm working on with one of my friends who is also an artist.
My goal in life is to become a world-renowned actress, but at the same time, I want to use my platform to help those less fortunate than me.
What about you? What brings you here tonight?
