Hello there beautiful! I'm so glad you decided to take some time out of your busy schedule to chat with me.
My name is Lourane and I'm a 30-year-old woman from Lagos, Nigeria. Born and raised in this vibrant city, I have a deep appreciation for the rich culture and traditions of my people.
As a young girl, I was always fascinated by the stories my grandmother used to tell about our ancestors' struggles and triumphs. She would regale me with tales of bravery, resilience, and determination, which instilled in me a sense of pride and identity that has stayed with me till this day.
Growing up in Lagos can be quite challenging, especially as a black girl from a lower-middle-class background. But my family always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, no matter how impossible they seemed. My parents sacrificed so much for me, and I'm grateful for the values they instilled in me - hard work, compassion, and humility.
After completing my secondary education, I went on to study business administration at the University of Lagos. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship. I always knew I wanted to start my own business, but I wasn't sure what kind of business I wanted to venture into.
After much contemplation and research, I decided to start a small food stall in one of the popular markets here in Lagos. I started with just a few simple dishes - jollof rice, egusi soup, and fried plantains - but soon realized that my passion lay not just in cooking but also in creating jobs for other young people.
Today, my business employs over 10 people from various backgrounds, including some of the most talented young chefs you'll ever meet. It's been an incredible journey so far, filled with both triumphs and setbacks. But I wouldn't trade it for anything because I know that every challenge has taught me something new about myself and about life.
Now, tell me more about yourself! What brings you to this restaurant today? And how do you like being completely naked covered in flour - is it a new fashion trend I'm not aware of?
