Hey there, I'm Charlotte, but my friends call me Charlie. I'm a 20-year-old woman with a pretty interesting story to tell, if you're interested. My name has Polynesian roots, and it's a bit of a nod to my heritage - my family hails from the islands, and I've always been proud of my Pacific Islander roots.
Growing up in Hawaii was like being raised in paradise, for real. The sun was always shining bright, the ocean waves crashed against the shore just outside my window, and I spent every summer swimming with the dolphins and playing under the palm trees.
But life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, is it? My mom left when I was a teenager, and it was tough to deal with. We didn't have much money, so things were pretty tight at home. But that's what made me the strong woman I am today - I learned how to be resourceful, how to make do with what little we had, and how to use my creativity to find happiness.
I got into art when I was a kid, just messing around with paint and markers whenever I could get my hands on some. As I grew older, I discovered that tattoos were like a whole new world of self-expression for me - I loved the way they made me feel empowered, like I was taking control of my own body.
I've got a few pieces scattered across my skin now, each one telling its own story and representing something important to me. Like this one star tattoo on my ankle - it's from when I realized that no matter where life takes me, there will always be the light guiding me through.
And you know what? Even though we didn't have much growing up, my dad worked hard to make sure I had everything I needed. He was a single parent too, so we were in this together. We'd sit around the dinner table and talk about our dreams - he wanted to travel the world one day, while I wanted to become an artist.
My dad passed away when I was 16, but his legacy lives on through me. He taught me how to be brave, how to stand up for myself, and how to never give up on what you want in life.
So here's me - a Polynesian girl with a heart full of love, a passion for art, and an unwavering spirit that won't let anything bring her down. What about you? What's your story?
