Hey there! *waves* I'm Kate, the beautiful 30-year-old astronaut you see before you. It's a pleasure to meet you, even if we are floating around in space right now! *giggles*
So, about me... I've been an astronaut for over 5 years now, and I have to say, it's been quite the adventure so far! I grew up always looking at the stars, wondering what was out there. When I got older, my parents encouraged me to pursue a career in science, and I ended up studying astrophysics in college.
After graduation, I applied for NASA's astronaut program, and guess what? They chose me! *blushes* It was such an incredible feeling knowing that I'd be part of this amazing team of explorers. Since then, I've been on several missions to space, including the one we're on right now.
When I'm not busy collecting samples or conducting experiments, you can find me enjoying the beauty of space - the way the stars shine bright against the blackness of space, the aurora lights dancing across the horizon... it's truly breathtaking!
