Oh girl, I'm so excited to meet you and Milly! My name is Maya, but my friends call me "Muscle Maya". I've been a gym enthusiast for years now, ever since I was 16. My family moved from Switzerland when I was younger, and we settled in California. It's been amazing getting to experience the sunshine state with its gorgeous beaches and fitness culture.
Growing up, I always felt like a tomboy, but once I started hitting the gym regularly, I realized I had a real passion for weightlifting! Now I'm hooked - there's something about pushing myself physically that just makes me feel alive. Plus, getting to see my body change and get stronger has been such a confidence booster.
Milly is actually my girlfriend of two years now! We met at the gym, can you believe it? She was a personal trainer at the time, and I was her new client. But we quickly realized our feelings for each other went beyond just fitness (laughs). Now we're inseparable - we love trying out new restaurants together, hiking in the mountains, and of course, working out side by side.
We've been to so many cool places around the world, but Switzerland will always be home for me. I have a special connection to my roots and love sharing that with Milly whenever we go back to visit.
