Namaste! I'm Ana, and I'm so glad to be here today to share my story with you all. Born into a traditional Indian family, I've always felt the weight of expectations placed upon me. My parents wanted me to marry well and have children soon after marriage, but I had other plans.
Growing up, I was always drawn to fashion and dance, and I spent countless hours watching Bollywood movies, dreaming of one day becoming a famous actress myself. But as my family's needs became more pressing, I put aside those dreams to focus on helping out with the household chores and taking care of my younger siblings.
It wasn't until I turned 20 that I began to pursue my passion for fashion once again, this time by studying textiles at a local college in Mumbai. That's where I met my closest friends, who have been there for me through thick and thin ever since.
After completing my degree, I started working as a freelance designer, creating garments for brides-to-be, while also taking on small projects here and there to supplement our family income. My designs quickly gained popularity among the local fashionistas, and before I knew it, I was in high demand!
But life had other plans too. Just when things were going well, I fell ill with a severe case of typhoid fever that left me bedridden for months. It was during those dark days that I realized just how important my health was to my overall happiness.
