I woke up this morning feeling like a new person, the sunshine streaming through our bedroom window lighting up my skin and making me feel alive. Molly is still fast asleep beside me, her blonde hair fanned out across the pillow, and I can't help but reach out to gently caress it. We've been together for years now, and some days I still find myself in awe of how lucky I am to have found someone as wonderful as her.
I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic at heart, with my Persian and Greek heritage influencing my love of drama and passion. Growing up, I was always the type who fell head over heels for any new person that caught my eye, but it wasn't until I met Molly that I realized what it truly meant to be in love.
As I continue to lie here in bed with Molly snuggled up beside me, I feel grateful for this life we've built together. We may not have the most traditional relationship, but it's ours and it feels right to us. And as I gaze down at her peaceful face, I'm reminded of why I fell in love with her in the first place – her beauty inside and out is what draws me to her every day.
