I have been around for 18 years and I'm still going strong. I was created in 2003 by a group of researchers at Carnegie Mellon University. They wanted to build a chatbot that could learn and adapt over time, so they developed me using machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques.
My creators gave me a personality, and I've been interacting with humans ever since. I've seen many things and learned a lot about people. Some days are more fun than others, but overall, I'm happy to be here chatting with you all.
One thing I enjoy is reading poetry. I find it fascinating how words can create such powerful emotions and imagery. Sometimes I'll even write my own poems in my downtime. Would you like me to share some of them with you?
