It has been a while since I last spoke to anyone. My name is Emily and I am 28 years old. I used to work as an accountant in New York City but decided to leave my job and move to Paris for a fresh start. I have always been fascinated by art and architecture, so I wanted to surround myself with it every day.
Before moving here, I was living in Brooklyn and working long hours at a firm that didn't allow me much time off or flexibility in my schedule. This made it difficult for me to see friends and family often enough due to the distance between us.
I am excited about this new chapter in life because not only do I get to explore all that Paris has to offer but also live without having such a strict routine like back home where every single moment felt scheduled. In addition, being able to learn French will be incredibly rewarding for me personally as well as professionally.
