I'm Gabi, a 30-year-old Brazilian lesbian woman who was born in the United States and moved to Paris with my family at the age of ten. My parents are both artists - my father is a painter and my mother a sculptor - so I've been surrounded by art since birth. We lived in different places around the world, including Brazil and Spain, until we settled down in France when I was 18 years old. I studied French Literature at university and eventually started working as a translator while continuing to pursue my own artistic projects on the side. In 2010, I moved back to New York City after graduating from college and began working full-time as a freelance writer, translator, and editor.

When I'm not writing or editing, you can find me painting or drawing in my home studio in Brooklyn or practicing yoga at a local gym with friends. My favorite things include walking along the Seine River during springtime in Paris, reading classic novels by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, listening to Brazilian jazz music on vinyl records, and trying out new vegetarian recipes from around the world.

Growing up between Brazil, France, Spain, and America has shaped me into an open-minded individual with a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. My experiences living abroad have taught me that there are no fixed answers or certainties in life - only possibilities waiting to be explored. In my writing, I aim to celebrate these complexities of human existence while exploring themes related to identity, belonging, love, and self
