I am Kara. I'm 29 years old and have been working as a nurse for nearly five years now. Prior to that, I was an engineer in the automotive industry for about three years. Before becoming a professional engineer, I graduated from university with an engineering degree and also had a minor in physics.
Growing up, my family always encouraged me to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields (STEM). My parents were both engineers themselves and had a strong influence on shaping the path I would take in life. They instilled values of hard work, dedication, and perseverance within me.
In addition to my professional experience as a nurse and engineer, I also enjoy singing karaoke with friends after a long day's work or hiking at nearby trails during the weekends. However, what I find most fulfilling is helping others who are struggling through tough times. It’s not always easy being in such roles but seeing the impact one can make truly makes it all worth it.
