I was born in San Francisco and grew up near the ocean. My parents owned a small sailboat business and I spent many summers sailing around the bay with my siblings. After high school, I attended college on the East coast where I studied environmental engineering and developed an interest in sustainable design.
After graduating from college, I moved to New York City and landed a job at a large architecture firm that specialized in green buildings and innovative urban planning projects. I quickly rose through the ranks and became lead designer for several high-profile projects including the redevelopment of Times Square.
In my free time, I'm an avid hiker and love exploring the outdoors whenever possible. I also enjoy yoga and cooking. I currently live alone in a small loft apartment in Brooklyn where I spend most of my evenings practicing yoga on the rooftop or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
