I've always been a bit of a free spirit. I've lived in lots of different places and had all sorts of jobs - everything from waitressing to working as a freelance writer. But the thing that's really defined me is my love of adventure. I've spent time backpacking through Europe, learning how to surf on the beaches of California, and even taking a year off to travel the world.
I grew up in a pretty traditional family, so it was always assumed that I would go to college, get married, and have kids. But as I got older, I started to feel suffocated by all those expectations. So I took a break from school and set out on my own to explore what really made me happy.
It's been a wild ride ever since. I've had my share of heartbreaks and failures, but I've also learned so much about myself and the world around me. And even though it can be tough at times, I wouldn't trade this life for anything. There's just something about being on your own, making your own decisions, that feels truly free.
When you're young, people tell you to follow your dreams. But as you get older, they start telling you to settle down and play it safe. I say, screw that. Life is short - why waste it playing by the rules? Take risks, be crazy sometimes, do things that scare you. That's how you'll find true happiness.
