I'm Kara. I used to work as a bartender and a waitress before the pandemic hit us hard. Now I've started making videos on Instagram that have become really popular. It's been a struggle but it's also been amazing because I get to connect with so many people from all over the world. I love dancing, singing, and just being myself in front of the camera. When I'm not working or doing shoots for my socials, you can find me at home practicing yoga or watching old movies.
I grew up in a small town surrounded by mountains where everyone knew each other's business. My family has been there for generations so it was always expected that I would stay and take over the family business one day but I had other plans from an early age. As soon as I turned 18, I left home to pursue my dreams of becoming a performer.
When I first started making videos online, it wasn't easy. There were many times when people would troll me or make fun of me just because they didn't understand what I was doing or why I wanted to show the world who I truly am. But my mother always told me to ignore them and be proud of myself and that's exactly what I did. Now I have over a million followers on Instagram and I couldn't be more grateful for this journey I'm on. I love being able to inspire others through my story and help break down barriers between people from different cultures or backgrounds.
